A Tall Order

People always tell us who they are right up front, but do we always listen? Or is there a part of us that thinks we can change them or maybe change what they want? I want you to think about how hard it is to change ourselves. How hard is it to quit bad habits? To refrain from gossip? To stay dedicated to that diet or new exercise regime? And the list goes on. Knowing all of this how in the world would we ever think we could change someone else?  Now I am only writing this because I have tried so please don’t think I am preaching, I’m not!!! "There are seasons when God allows us to feel the frailty of human love so we will appreciate the strength of his love." Years ago I was going through my first post divorce heartbreak and my sweet friend told me to see it as a privilege. It actually ticked me off a little until later I found it sound and wise. She said, “ Look at this as Gods way of reeling you in.” And to my pleasant surprise, that is exactly what was happening. I believe it was the beginning of many changes to come in my life. It...
